Lower spine will appear denser in left lower lobe atelectasis
Thoracic spine has a gentle convexity. Abnormalities include

Common recognizable vertebral lesions
Metastatic lesion
Osteoporosis
Vertebral fracture
Osteophytes
Osteomyelitis
Tuberculosis
Ankylosing spondylitis
Pre spinal stripe is recognizable in left lung atelectasis
