Pulmonary artery
Pulmonary outflow tract is recognizable along upper anterior margin of heart.
Right lung is in contact with pulmonary outflow tract
Main pulmonary artery divides into left and right pulmonary artery
Right pulmonary artery takes a horizontal route to right lung at the level of RUL bronchus.
It traverse below the aortic arch and in front of right main stem bronchus.
It is behind Superior Vena Cava.
You see it end on and appears oval to round
Left pulmonary artery course upwards and hooks around left upper division bronchus to descend to left lung.
You can see it coursing above the LUL bronchus as a tubular shadow.
