38 Year old female presents with fever, chills and purulant sputum.

 

Findings:

  • Density in the right hemi thorax not corresponding to any lobe
  • Intact diaphragmatic and cardiac silouhettes, raising suspicion for loculation
  • Blunted costo phrenic angle
  • Sub pulmonic effusion on left
  • Lateral showing margin of loculated fluid
