Radiological Manifestations of Lobar pneumonia

• Encountered with pneumococcus, mycoplasma and legionella pneumonia
• Segmental, lobar or multilobar air space inflammation
• Lung abscess is rare.
• Empyema is rare.
• Most resolve completely with no residual changes.
• Indistinguishable radiologically between streptococcal pneumonia, mycoplasma or legionella pneumonia
