• Small pear-shaped sac 
• 30-50 cc in capacity
• Sits in between the right and quadrate lobes of the liver
• Connected to the liver by connective tissue
• Parts of the gall bladder:
  • Fundus
  • Body
  • Neck
• Relationship to other structures:
  • Anterior
    • Anterior abdominal wall
  • Posterior
    • Transverse colon
    • Duodenum
  • Superior
    • Under surface of liver
