- Left Renal vein crosses in front of Aorta to
enter IVC at right angle
- Left renal vein is 7.5 cm, three times longer
than right
- Passes behind the Splenic vein and the
body of Pancreas
- Passes in between Aorta and SMA
- Receives
- Left Gonadal vein
- Left Adrenal vein
- Right Renal vein is shorter 2.5 cm and enters IVC at
a lower level than the left renal vein
- Behind the second part of Duodenum
- Renal arteries accompany Renal veins
- Lie anterior to Renal arteries
