• P wave amplitude 2.5 mm or more in II, III, AVF
• P wave tall thin and peaked
• Mean electrical axis of P wave to right (equal to or >60 degree)
• P pulmonale

Normal P wave Characteristics:

• The P wave in general should not be more than 1 box wide or 1 box tall.
• Positive deflection greater than  1 box in height --> right atrial hypertrophy
