Rib Destruction: Tumor destroying adjacent ribs and vertebra. Tumor extending into the spinal canal with cord compression

 

Hepper, in his review of radiographs of 47 patients with pancoast tumor, observed bony destruction in 29% of cases. In all cases, ribs were involved, while in six, the process extended into the adjacent vertebral bodies.
