Learning Objectives:
1. Recognize the boundaries of the pharynx and larynx.
2. Identify the boney and cartilaginous framework of the pharynx.
3. List the functions of each group of pharyngeal muscles, their nerve supply and gross blood supply.
4. Be able familiar with key structures of the pharynx on both sagittal and coronal gross sections and MRI’s.
