MDL Cases By A.J. Chandrasekhar, MD
- Pulmonary Embolism
The same case is presented in three separate lessons. Start with diagnosis first.
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
The MDL cases have been developed for teaching basic concepts of disease to junior medical students. It is expected that each student will review the cases and try to answer the questions posed to him or her. Instructor's discussion of answers are provided. Optimal benefit is anticipated when a small group of students review the case and discuss their responses before seeking the instructor's answers.
Procedures By A.J. Chandrasekhar, MD
- Arterial Puncture
In this lesson, indications, steps of procedure, pre and post procedure management, complications and how to avoid them are discussed for each procedure. Any student who has not yet performed these procedures will benefit by this review prior to attempting the actual procedure. Rapid changes in technology and instrumentation make some techniques and images obsolete. However, many of the fundamental principles remain pertinent.
