Supernumerary nipple

Loyola University Medical Center



These fairly common lesions look like a very small extra nipple, which is what they are. Histologically, they have an appearance of a nipple as well. They tend to occur in the embryological "milk line" which extends inferiorly from the nipples. This lesion is located in the inframammary fold.
