Services by Request
Routine
rodent health assessment (sentinel program) is included
in per diem.
Quarantine
Rodents
from non-commercial sources will undergo a minimum 60-day
quarantine/conditioning period before they can be housed
in non-quarantine space. The monitoring required during
quarantine includes comprehensive serological profiles,
parasitology tests, and daily monitoring for evidence of
infectious disease. Charges are dependent upon the number
of animals received, which determines the number of sentinel
animals needed and therefore the number of samples submitted.
Questionable results may also require additional testing.
Charges during quarantine include purchase of sentinel animals,
per diems for PI animals as well as sentinel animals, specimen
collection (charged at $20/hour), and serological and/or
microbial testing.
