GRADUATE PROGRAMS AT MARCELLA NIEHOFF SCHOOL OF NURSING
The Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing has programs leading to master’s and doctoral degrees, as well as certificate programs. The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program offers 17 specialty tracks, preparing professional nurses for leadership roles as nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists or health-care system administrators. The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree prepares advanced practice nurses in the highest level of knowledge and skill for providing innovative leadership and ensuring the highest quality of care, through a population focus. The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing program prepares researchers who improve human health through the development and expansion of knowledge. The Master of Science (MS) degree with a major in Dietetics focuses registered dietitians on the design and implementation of systems that produce desired health outcomes. The MSN and DNP degrees are conferred through the School of Nursing. The MS in Dietetics and PhD in Nursing degrees are conferred through the Graduate School of Loyola University Chicago.
