Stritch School of Medicine Students and Faculty Pause to Remember 9/11
WHAT: On the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attack, Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine students, staff and faculty will remember those who died and served in response to the tragedy.
On Sunday, Sept. 11, two pillar candles will be placed in the middle of the school’s atrium representing lives lost. Students and faculty are invited to write a prayer or reflection and place them at the base of the pillars.
On Monday, Sept. 12, at 12:30 p.m., the candles will be lighted followed by a reflective reading, tolling of bells and a moment of silence.
