Abnormal Finding

Facial hemianesthesia is seen with five cranial nerve lesions. Sensory loss just crosses mid-line. Hysterical sensory loss: In conversion reaction the loss of sensation corresponds to mid-line. Sensory loss also ends at the hair line. Loss of corneal reflex could be either due to 5th or 7th cranial nerve injury. Contact lens can also diminish this reflex.
