Shoulder Joint

Step 1
Refer to earlier dissection on the deltoid, scapula, and pectoral region for reflection of the muscles.

Step 2
Refer to earlier dissection of the axilla.
Step 3
Dissect the joint on one side only. First expose the joint capsule posteriorly.
Step 4
Turn the cadaver to the supine position to dissect the joint anteriorly.
Step 5
Open the joint capsule.

Elbow Joint

Step 1
Strip the muscles from the joint capsule and demonstrate the ligaments.
