Dissection of the Back |
Step 1
Palpate bony landmarks and remove skin. |

Step 2
Clean the superficial muscles (trapezius and latissimus dorsi) and reflect them from medial to lateral. | |||
Step 3
Clean and reflect the underlying rhomboid muscles, serratus posterior muscles, and levator scapula muscles. Study the deep back muscles. | |||
Step 4
Dissect the sub-occipital triangle. | |||
