Step 1
Palpate bony landmarks and remove skin. |

Clean the superficial muscles (trapezius and latissimus dorsi) and reflect them from medial to lateral. | ||

Clean and reflect the underlying rhomboid muscles, serratus posterior muscles, and levator scapula muscles. Study the deep back muscles. | ||

Dissect the sub-occipital triangle. |
