Prenatal Ultrasound of Multicystic Kidney

Note the black areas (cysts) that do no communicate. There is no renal parenchyma. This is a typical ultrasound appearance of a multi-cystic kidney. Multicystic kidneys almost always occur unilaterally. What would happen to this child if both kidneys were multi-cystic kidneys?
