Case History
A 4-year-old boy is brought to your clinic by his mother. She has noticed swelling in the left scrotum ever since he had a severe upper respiratory tract infection two weeks ago. The boy denies any pain. As you talk to the mother, it becomes apparent that she is afraid that the boy has a tumor. You should:

Thoroughly examine the child.

Order a scrotal ultrasound.

Order a CAT scan.
