Abnormal Finding

• Asymmetric movement of palate and uvula deviated towards intact glossopharyngeal nerve on saying "ah"
• Curtain like movement of pharynx towards non paralyzed side on stimulation of pharynx
• Hoarse  voice with vagus nerve injury (Vocal cord paralysis)
• Ineffective cough (Vocal cord paralysis)
• Nasal voice : Paralysis of palate
• Trouble swallowing, Nasal regurgitation of liquids
