- Cervix faces forwards (Retroversion)
- Cervix and uterus descend down vagina: (Prolapse of uterus)
- Os:
- Red and bleeds (Ectropion, Cancer)
- Bright red soft friable protrusion from os (Cervical polyp)
- Discharge: Pus, blood
- Mucous membrane:
- Cervicitis
- Cauliflower like growth with a hard granular surface that bleeds easily (Cancer)
- Edematous, thickened, ulcerated
- Translucent nodules (Retention cysts)
- Laceration: (Traumatic deliveries)
