- Use the diaphragm to listen over the femoral artery.
- If a buit is heard in the femoral artery, then listen above the inguinal ligament
in an alttempt to determine whether the bruit is from the iliac or femoral.
Normal:
A pulse is normally heard, but without sounds during systole.
