Porokeratoses

Loyola University Medical Center

These lesions appear very similar to actinic keratoses. On biopsy, they reveal the cornoid lamellae, a histologic feature of porokeratoses. Click here for closer view. Smaller, multiple lesions on sun-exposed surfaces, such as these, are termed disseminated superficial porokeratoses. The condition is transmitted by an autosomal dominant gene.
