Keloid of the chest

Loyola University Medical Center

These are very firm, rubbery lesions which are reddish or darkly colored. They occur after trauma (sometimes very minor trauma) and may itch. This location, on the midline of the chest, is typical. Other typical locations, include the earlobe (after piercing) and the shoulders.
