  1. Define the general precepts of global health challenges using Haiti as an example

  2. Recognize the important relationship between poverty and poor health outcomes
  3. Describe the obstacles for successful interventions to improve maternal mortality in Haiti
  4. Understand the challenges to apply the WHO approach to children and malnutrition in Haiti
