Step 1
Define the boundaries of the perineum. |

Step 2
Put the cadaver in a prone position with a block under the pelvis. Skin the region of the anal triangle and clean the ischiorectal fossa. | ||

Step 3
With the cadaver in the supine position, spread the thighs and finish skinning the urogenital area. Dissect the contents of the superficial and deep perineal pouches. |

Step 1
Recall that in an earlier dissection you blunt dissected the visceral contents of the pelvis in order to appreciate their relationships with the pelvis intact. The following dissection describes bisecting. |

Step 2
Bisect the pelvis and remove one limb. (At this point, refer back to the dissection of the perineum and complete this before bisecting the pelvis) | ||

Step 3
Demonstrate the parts of the viscera that have been bisected. | ||

Step 4
Dissect the branches of the internal iliac arteries and nerves on the lateral wall of the pelvis. |
