The Illinois Researcher Information Service (IRIS):
is a unit of the University of Illinois Library at Urbana-Champaign. The IRIS office compiles the IRIS and OPS databases of funding opportunities. The office also maintains a library of publications (informational brochures, application
guidelines, and annual reports) from over 2,000 funding agencies.

fastWEB (Financial Aid Search Through the WEB) Student Funding:
is a searchable database of more than 180,000 private sector scholarships, fellowships, grants, and loans. Used by colleges across the United States, fastWEB is now
available to you for free through the World-Wide Web, courtesy of the Financial Aid Information page and Student
Services, Inc. To use fastWEB, a student fills out a detailed profile through a series of online forms. After the forms are
complete, fastWEB responds with a list of matching award programs. Each entry in this list includes a deadline, a list of required majors, the amount of the award, a short description, and contact information.

The Advanced Technology Program -
(ATP) promotes the economic growth and competitiveness of U.S. business and industry by accelerating the development and commercialization of promising, high-risk technologies with substantial potential for enhancing U.S. economic growth. Awards to individual companies are limited to $2 million over 3 years and can be used only for direct R&D costs. Awards to joint ventures can
be for up to 5 years; joint ventures must provide more than 50 percent of the resources for the project. The ATP does not fund product development. It will support development of laboratory prototypes and proof of technical feasibility but not commercial prototypes or proof of commercial feasibility. Searchable Database.
