We welcome fourth year medical students on Loyola’s Urology services during five 4-week blocks from July through November. Clerkship positions are limited to 4 per block. A completed application form, official transcript, STEP I exam results, one letter of recommendation and a resume are required for application. These materials will be reviewed by the student rotation committee and clerkships will be awarded to the top four students for each block. Deadlines for application are listed below. All application materials must be received by 4:30 p.m. on the day of the deadline. Students are welcome to apply for more than one block in order to increase their chances of acceptance. Applicants will be notified within two weeks after the deadline.

July and August are the most popular rotation blocks. However, these two months are the most common times for faculty travel away from the University. Keep this in mind as you consider your application.

Once a medical student has been accepted for a clerkship rotation, he/she will need to complete an additional application through the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine registrar's office. Our office will be happy to send copies of transcripts and STEP I scores to the registrar's office.
