Philosophy of Patient Care:
The
women who seek care from me can expect to be involved in all
aspects of their medical decision making. I find that women
are most comfortable when they understand all the options
available to them. I believe that this can be one of the
most satisfying aspects of my role. In addition, I am part
of an extraordinary surgical and research team that is on
the leading edge of the diagnosis and treatment of common
and uncommon pelvic floor disorders such as urinary and
fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, genitourinary
fistulas and vaginal reconstruction. As a surgeon and
physician I am committed to excellence in my practice and
personal life.

Clinical/Research Interests:
I am interested in the surgical and
medical management of urinary incontinence (urine leakage), pelvic
organ prolapse, vaginal reconstruction, urinary fistulas, congenital
abnormalities of the genitor-urinary system, urethral diverticulum,
hematuria, and urinary retention.

Bio:
Elizabeth
Mueller is a native of St. Louis, MO and a graduate of St. Louis
University Medical School. She completed her Urology residency at
Loyola University and then became one of the first urologists to be
trained in the accredited ABOG/ABU joint fellowship in Female Pelvic
Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Following her fellowship she
was invited to stay as an attending physician. She is an instructor
in both the department of Urology and Obstetrics/Gynecology at
Loyola University. She has a variety of research interests and has
published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals. She has also
presented her research findings at national and international
meetings related to her subspecialty.
