Female Pelvic
Medicine and
Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship
The fellowship is directed by Linda Brubaker,
M.D. Other faculty include John
S. Wheeler, Jr., M.D., Mary Pat FitzGerald,
M.D., and Kimberly S. Kenton, M.D.
This fellowship will provide advanced training in female voiding
dysfunction and pelvic prolapse. This fellowship is on the cutting
edge by combining urology and gynecology expertise. There is graded
responsibility from both the gynecologic and urologic perspective
so by the time fellows complete the program they will be board eligible
in the combined urology/gynecology board certification.
Gynecology senior residents should expect three years of post residency
training. Urology senior residents should expect two years of post
residency training.
During the fellowship, adequate time will be available for basic
science research, including preparing and managing a grant and publishing
and presenting scientific ideas. Much additional time will be spent
on the surgery of pelvic prolapse and urinary incontinence and on
the clinical evaluation of patients with disorders including clinical
evaluation, cystoscopy and urodynamic studies.
The current fellows are Leslie Rickey
