Endourology
and Laparoscopic
Surgery Fellowship
The Division of Endourology and Laparoscopic
Surgery sponsors a one-year fellowship in endourology and
laparoscopy. This fellowship, which is recognized by the Endourology
Society, is a one-year clinical and research fellowship
that intends to provide training in all aspects of endourology including
laparoscopic urologic surgery, percutaneous kidney surgery, and
ureteroscopy. Research has recently focused on the use of fibrin
glue in urology, ureteral healing and the development of new laparoscopic
surgical procedures. Most graduates from this program have entered
a career in academic medicine; however, all interested urology residents
are encouraged to apply.
To do so, please send a letter of interest and forward three
letters of recommendation to Dr.
Thomas M.T. Turk at:

The fellowship is directed by Dr.

A fully equipped animal laboratory is available for ureteroscopic

laboratories. There is no on campus housing available. Fellows occasionally
are asked to be available after hours for telephone consultation,
but there is no formal call. The fellows rarely come in to perform
surgical procedures at night.
