Philosophy of Patient Care
I believe that the best patient care comes from a steadfast commitment to the patient and his or her family to provide comprehensive evaluation and specialized management in a compassionate manner. Careful attention to detail in all aspects of a patent's care is required for optimal outcomes. I will do my very best to provide such care to all my patients.
Biography
Marcus L. Quek, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Urology at the Loyola University Medical Center. He specializes in all aspects of urologic oncology, with a particular emphasis on the surgical management of invasive bladder cancer and urinary tract reconstruction.
Dr. Quek completed his undergraduate work at Stanford University with honors degrees in Biological Sciences and Psychology. He went on to the University of Southern California (USC) where he earned his medical degree, as well as induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He stayed on at USC for his residency in Urology, as well as a two year urologic oncology fellowship under the direction of Dr. Donald G. Skinner. During this time, he served as attending staff for all major oncologic and reconstructive cases at the Los Angeles + USC Medical Center and the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center.
Dr. Quek is currently a member of the American Urological Association and the Society of Urologic Oncology. He has published several original research articles in many highly-regarded peer-reviewed publications such as the Journal of Urology, Urology, Cancer, and Seminars in Urologic Oncology. |
