Application Process

Thank you for your interest in the general surgery training program at Loyola University.

We participate in the the AAMC Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).  The ERAS program was developed by the Association of American Medical Colleges to save time and effort while using the Internet for the rapid delivery of residency applications, medical school transcripts, Dean’s letters and faculty recommendations. It is designed to consolidate and streamline the process, at every stage of the application process.

Our application deadline is December 1, 2007 for the  PGY-1 residency starting July 1, 2008.

Application Requirements:

  • Medical School Transcript
  • Dean's Letter
  • Three Letters of Recommendation
  • USMLE Transcript
  • Personal Statement

Categorical Interview Activities:

Fri/Sat, Nov. 30 - Dec 1

Wed/Thurs, Dec 12-13

Tues/Wed, Jan 15-16

Preliminary Interviews:

Wed, Jan 23
