It is important for students with a potential interest in Neurosurgery to become acquainted with the faculty early in their medical school career. Neurosurgical faculty are eager to answer questions about neurosurgery and willing to become role models. Students with such an interest should attempt to take neurosurgery as a selective during their surgery clerkship.
