Guide 1. Elective Clerkships Highly Recommended
2. Elective Clerkships Recommended
3. Sub-I Recommended
4. Narrative comments: Possible electives in internal medicine include not only the traditional medicine subspecialties (infectious disease is very important), but also electives in dermatology, allergy, and cardiographics. These electives should emphasize and review the history taking and physical diagnostic skills pertinent to that specialty. The special elective for internal medicine bound students will be especially helpful. * Electives in dermatology, allergy, cardiographics or nuclear medicine do not count towards the maximum of 12 weeks of electives in internal medicine students are permitted to take in that specialty.
