Prerequisite: Completion of Neurology and Psychiatry clerkships.  
Special Note:  
Description: Student will participate in: Daily neurosurgical review of current cases, including time in frozen section lab, autopsies and teaching sessions in consultation with attending neuropathologist of the week. Weekly brain cutting conferences, done in conjunction with the Department of Neurology and Neurology Grand Rounds and monthly clinical correlation conferences with the Departments of Neurosurgery and Neuroradiology. Other opportunities include introduction to basic and clinical research techniques used in neuropathology. It is expected that a detailed knowledge of clinico-pathological correlation of neurological diseases and neuroanatomy (gross and microscopic) be accomplished during the rotation. This course would be of interest for those students who would be going into neurology, neuroradiology, neurosurgery, and psychiatry as well as pathology residencies.
Method of Evaluation: Oral examination.
