Each student will select and design an interactive educational project, under faculty supervision, using state-of-the-art computer hardware and software. The completed project should be of sufficient scope and quality to be included on the Loyola University Medical Education Network (LUMEN). Each elective student will meet with the faculty supervisor three times per week for formal instruction and progress reports. The student will work independently the remainder of the week. The principal goals of this elective are to instruct students in the development and use of computer-aided instruction in medical education, enhance the computer skills of the students, prepare students for future technological advances, and promote the development of hypermedia educational projects for LUMEN. |
