Eligible
criteria for all PGY-I candidates:
- must
be a graduate of
- United
States and Canadian medical schools accredited
by the Liaison Committee Medical Education; or
- United
States of Osteopathic Medicine accredited by the
American Osteopathic Association; or
- foreign
medical schools who have a valid certificate from
the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical
Graduates.
- eligible
for an Illinois Temporary Physician’s license
- demonstrate
understanding and facility in using the English language
- must
have passed USMLE Part I
- Citizenship/visa
status-U.S. citizen or J-1 visa (must be eligible
for a J-1 visa to interview)
- Ordinarily
must have graduated from an accredited medical school
within the past 5 years of the potential starting
date of residency.
All
applicants must be registered with the National Residency
Matching Program (NRMP).
