Residents
Each year, the Loyola Pediatric Residency Program matches for 10 categorical pediatric and 4 medicine/pediatric residents.
Our program has a total of 46 residents and one or two fourth year pediatric chief residents.
Although a significant number of our residents are from the Chicago metropolitan area, we have a good representation of medical schools within our trainees.
Many of our graduates pursue private practice opportunities, both within the Chicago area and around the country. Many graduates have chosen to continue their training in subspecialties. These residents have been extremely successful in obtaining fellowship positions at such institutions as Children’s Hospital of Denver, Oakland Children’s Hospital, Johns Hopkins University, University of Chicago, University of Cincinnati Children's Hospital, National Institutes of Health, Boston Children's Hospital, Harbor UCLA, University of Florida-Jacksonville, University of Texas, Houston and Children’s Memorial Hospital as well as staying at Loyola.
