D.J. Trigg M.D. has lived in Chicago since 1988. Attending the University of Chicago and graduating with degrees in biology and economics, he went on to medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Trigg completed a residency in otolaryngology at the University of Illinois at Chicago and then did an additional year of training in pediatric otolaryngology at the University of California at San Francisco.

Dr. Trigg joined Loyola as an Assistant Professor in 2006 and is actively involved in education and research in the areas of pediatric head and neck surgery and pathology.

Information for Physicians

Dr. D.J. Trigg’s treatment philosophy regarding children is a balance between the wishes of the child and family, current recommendations from the American Academies of Otolaryngology and Pediatrics, experience, and the needs of the child. Medical therapies are routinely employed prior to surgical considerations unless it is clear that surgical intervention is the only route that will be successful.

He is happy to see pediatric patients up to the age of 18 years old who suffer from any disease of the head and neck. Special interests include airway management, pediatric sinus disease, sleep and snoring issues, neck masses, and ear disease.
