After receiving a medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, Dr. Rosenthal completed an internship in general surgery and residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Rosenthal is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
