Patient described Dr. de Alba as being a "wonderful doctor, who is caring and compassionate." The patient also praised Robin Mikota, RN, "to be very caring and attentive to her needs." Complimented Jeff Slavinskas for being "extremely helpful and pleasant." Also singled out was Denise (Tara) Goodie, COA, for being an "exceptional" example of Loyola's promise to "treat the human spirit." The patient was touched by Denise's concern. - Dr. Jay presented at the 37th Annual Winter Refresher Course sponsored by the Medical College of Wisconsin, Waukesha, WI, January 2007. "The Older Drivers Project Training-of-Trainer."
- Dr. Walter Jay has been invited by the American Board of Ophthalmology for a 3-year commitment (2007-2008-2009) to continue submitting questions for the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) examinations. "Because the quality of the questions you have submitted in the past has been exceptional, we are asking that you continue to do this important job for the board."
- Dr. Jay has been invited to speak at the Milwaukee Ophthalmological Society's November meeting.
- Congratulations are in order for Dr. Walter Jay as he was elected on May 2, by his faculty peers as Vice-Chair of the University Wide Faculty Council.
- A big thank-you to Dr. Jay for his commitment and willingness to help CAN-TV where he will be the host and guest from July-September.
- Dr. Jay presented at the Upper Midwest Neuro-Ophthalmology Group on July 27, 2007. "Traumatic Bitemporal Hemianopia" and "Review of the Risk of Stroke with Intravitreal Ranibizumab and Bevacizumab."
- The National Association of Vision Professionals welcomed Dr. Walter Jay in August. "Vision and Driving" and "Multiple Sclerosis and The Eye."
- Walter Jay, MD, was ranked by Chicago Consumer's Checkbook www.checkbook.org as one of Chicago’s outstanding sub specialists in their survey of area physicians.
- Dr. Jay will serve as an Examiner during the American Board of Ophthalmology, Oral Examinations, scheduled in San Francisco, June 6-8, 2008.

Deer Park resident Dr. David K. Yoo joined Loyola University Health System as an assistant professor, department of ophthalmology, Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Maywood. Yoo specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology as well as ophthalmic plastics and reconstructive surgery. The February 15 Hinsdale Doings Newspaper posted the annoucement.
