International Service Immersion (ISI)

The overall mission of the ISI trips is to:

Build community

Create a sense of responsibility to social justice

Serve the medical needs of the poor.

The ISI program began at Loyola's Stritch School of Medicine 14 years ago with three students! We continue this legacy of service in Summer 2008.

Our teams will be traveling to the following locations:

Haiti, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Zambia, Guatemala, Kenya, Honduras and Guatemala.

The focus of the trips is on personal development and serving others. We join local health care providers in administering care in rural settings. While we learn much about international health care, our greater goal is to learn from and serve the communities we visit. We hope to return with experiences that will advance our lifelong practice of medicine.

We raise funds for the trips primarily through monetary donations and through our auction. Please consider supporting our efforts.
