Tutoring Services

The
Teaching and Learning Center coordinates a peer
tutoring program staffed by select graduate students,
medical students, residents and fellows. Tutoring
services are free of charge to Stritch School of
Medicine Students.
How
do I know if I need tutoring?
If
any of the following apply to you, you may want to
consider making an appointment with a tutor:
Limited or no prior knowledge of the course material.
Non-science
undergraduate.
Some difficulty
understanding how knowledge is
structured in a particular subject area.
Difficulty
identifying relationships between major
concepts.
Sense of being lost in the
details.
Problems imposing a
meaningful organization on the
materials.
How do I Apply to be a peer tutor?
Peer tutors must submit a Peer Tutor Application form to
the Teaching and Learning Center. The Director of the
Center will meet with you to discuss the role of a peer
tutor and to review the application process (see links
below for additional information).
