 Graduate Program - Admissions

Our admission requirements adhere to those of the LUMC graduate school. Specifically, applicants must possess a B.S. or B.A. (or obtain it prior to matriculation). Students must complete a Graduate School Application.

The application MUST include:

  • Application for Graduate Program online (free) or by hard copy ($40)
  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended
  • Letter of intent (Statement of purpose) describing why you wish to enter into our program
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Scores from the general test of the GRE or an MCAT exam score taken within the past 4 years. International applicants must have their transcripts evaluated and submit a score from the TOEFL exam

Admission to the Program will be determined by a faculty admissions committee. The committee will assess the candidacy of each applicant, taking the entire application into consideration. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate a strong commitment to research. Candidates will be interviewed, typically on-site. Admission requirements shall be applied equitably to individual applicants regardless of age, sex, race, disability, religion or national origin.

Review of applications will begin in early January.  Since we will process applications until the class is full, we encourage early submission.

The official deadline for application is June 15.
