The Division of Gastroenterology,
Hepatology & Nutrition specializes in digestive
diseases, nutrition and diseases of the liver. It provides
consultation on a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic
procedures such as:

upper endoscopy and colonoscopy
- Polypectomy
- Therapy for stricture
or achalasia
- Control of bleeding
- 24-hour monitoring of
esophageal PH and esophageal manometry

The hepatology component
of the division treats all aspects of clinical hepatology,
including viral hepatitis, cholestatic liver disease,
hepatoma management, liver transplantation and hepatic
failure.
Active research is taking
place in the areas of artificial liver, viral hepatitis,
organ reperfusion, chronic rejection and hepatic cancer.
