Loyola University Medical Center, located in Maywood, IL, approximately 20 miles west of Chicago, is know for providing advanced medical care, education and research. Since opening in Maywood in 1969, Loyola has provided advanced treatment for patients, educated physicians, nurses, research scientist and allied health professionals and conducted groundbreaking research in areas such as cancer care and organ transplants. The medical center’s Jesuit tradition is expressed in a commitment to service.
Areas of emphasis include cardiac and cancer care, neonatology, pediatrics, emergency, trauma and burn care, neuroscience and aging. Among the center’s facilities are:
