Central Curricular Authority

The Central Curricular Authority was established in 1993 as a way to represent the faculty to the dean on medical school curricular matters. Originally, the CCA was the oversight body for three subcommittees including Design, Implementation and Evaluation. Today, the CCA has more than 30 members from many offices around the campus and oversees five subcommittees including, Development, Competency Council, Evaluation, Technology in the Curriculum, as well as jointly, with the educational affairs deans, oversees the activities of the four Curricular Year Directors. The CCA works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, administrators and deans to make curricular recommendations to the Dean of the Stritch School of Medicine. We appreciate your visiting the CCA Website and would like to hear your feedback about our activities and about the SSOM curriculum.

Sincerely,
Aaron Michelfelder, MD, CCA Chair
