Telephone Directory Information

THE EMERGENCY NUMBER FOR THE CAMPUS IS 911.

The Medical Center general information number is 216-9000

There are emergency phones located throughout campus. These phones are identified by a red box with the word "EMERGENCY" and the telephone symbol located on the box. To use the phone, simply open the box and press the button - the Security and Safety Dispatcher will respond. The button you press will automatically provide the dispatcher with your location. Some boxes are surface mounted without a door. Merely press the button.

The Area Code for the Medical Center and the southern and near western suburbs is (708), but there are multiple area codes for Chicago and the surrounding areas. Generally, the downtown area of Chicago is (312), the remainder of Chicago is (773), the north suburban area is (847), the far western suburban area is (630).

To call Loyola from off campus dial 216-xxxx (the last four digits of the five digit extension. To place a call on campus dial the five digit extension. To call Hines from this campus dial 2276-xxxx.
