Chicago Clinical Ethics Program

The Chicago Clinical Ethics Program (CCEP) is a forum in the community for
examining specific bioethical issues and for the development of bioethics
policies affecting the delivery of health care services. Quarterly meetings
are held at medical schools, hospitals and other health care organizations
on a rotating basis. CCEP conducts an annual two day conference in the
Chicago area on "Ethics in Healthcare Institutions." CCEP was founded in
1988 to establish ongoing dialogue and collaborative activities among
clinical ethics educational and research programs at the seven medical
schools and many medical centers in the Chicago area.

Partnership for Caring

For 62 years the leaders and members of Choice In Dying and its predecessor
organizations worked to achieve "a good death" for all. Choice In Dying laid
the groundwork for a new organization named Partnership for Caring:
America's Voices for the Dying. This organization represented an opportunity
to partner more broadly with individuals and other organizations, consumers
and professionals committed to improving care at the end-of-life. In January
of 2000 the Board of Choice In Dying voted to dissolve itself and transfer
all of its programs and staff to Partnership for Caring, moving their vision
